The King's Speech

I saw The King's Speech a couple of days ago. Even though it had a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (with 146 reviews), it was still more interesting and entertaining than I expected.

The Ontario Film Review Board's rating system goes like this: G - PG - 14A - 18A - R

I KNOW! I was ranting about this with a coworker. Do they really think parents care THAT much about the F word? People need to get over it, their kids have heard much worse I'm sure.

But yeah, it was a wonderful movie at least.

After watching Pan's Labyrinth and realizing there was a family with a 4 year old girl watching it behind us... i really don't think parents care. Even after the kid said "why is the man hitting him?" when one of the dudes is getting his FACE BASHED IN AND YOU CAN SEE THE FACE CAVED IN AND BLOODY! I seriously thought they were going to leave, but nope, they stayed to the end -_-

I saw 4 year old kids watch For Colored Girls...where they KILL young kids. After that I will never be surprised.

(I haven't seen FCG but I get what you mean... I just saw the SW3 review yesterday so I was thinking of it)

Check out the documentary This Film Is Not Yet Rated. The MPAA rating system is absurd. Members of the clergy are involved.
