ATK 148 SP. DEF 107 Biography: Typhlosion was stolen from Professor Elm's lab at what Silver considers the true start of his journey. Naturally, he did not treat his cute little cyndaquil fairly, and beat her when she disobeyed him. Luckily, it was very obedient, so it never held any anger against Silver. Because she was his starter, she was often out and around in Silver's downtime.
Because she never bothered him and never indicated worry, she was ignored when he was in a bad enough mood to sulk, and she was there in his worst moments as well. She began to understand how lonely Silver was, and once Silver began to accept his pokemon as friends, she started to care for him as a loyal friend.
She's sort of a mama bear, in her own way.

ATK 89 SP. DEF 101 Biography: It's hard to say why he caught a zubat in the first place. When it all boiled down to it, the zubat were driving him crazy, and so he caught the one that caused his cyndaquil the most trouble. It took him a very long time to see his bat as anything other than an annoyance, but considering that in battle it was just as annoying to his opponents, Silver kept it for the team. He's very embarrassed at how little time it took for his golbat to evolve into a crobat - it evolved almost immediately after Silver began reforming his treatment of pokemon.

Later on, he found that ghosts can be extremely cruel opponents, and he began teaching his how to utterly decimate its foes. He bullied a random trainer into trading to-and-fro his pokemon so that it would evolve into a gengar. Silver never appreciated its playful nature, so Gengar was raised to have a very cruel and sadistic nature. He's still working to carefully undo that.

There was the secondary benefit of having an electric type on his team, as well, and he accepted magnemite into his team. The two have never fought, and Silver has yet to really be affectionate with it. It's hard to say if Magneton feels anything other than neutrality and obedience.

ATK 38 SP. DEF 87 Biography: Second best pokemon he ever stole. Not that he'll admit any appreciation for any of them. He finds that sneasel is a little horror, and a perfect counter for Kotone's Pepper. After stealing him from the boastful weakling in Cianwood, he quickly whipped the pampered pokemon into shape, and the sneasel was very eager to finally serve its instincts. Because its personality was so akin to Silver's, he rarely had to scold it, and so becoming affectionate with it was a smoother transition than most.

ATK 140 SP. DEF 100 Biography: Because Abras and their evolutions in general aren't much for arguing, Silver has always managed to be content with the evolutionary line. He appreciates sweepers, and this pokemon is no exception. It always was very eager to fight, and displayed good loyalty to the cause. He bullied a random trainer into trading to-and-fro his pokemon so that it would evolve into an Alakazam. Their relationship is one of the better ones after Silver's reform, though it's hard for the two of them to escape the business partner mindset.

ATK ??? DEF ??? SPD ??? SP. ATK ??? SP. DEF ??? Biography: Received from his father when he was eight years old as a Nidoran, this was Silver's first pokemon. He trained this pokemon for two years, and it became Silver's only friend during that time.
After his father left, Silver abandoned his father's home, living in the rough with his Nidoking as his only emotional support. Despite Nidoking's tough, creepy demeanor, he was very gentle and affectionate, and more often than not served as the shoulder Silver could cry on without feeling a blow to his pride.
Following Giovanni's disappearance, Silver decided to make an attempt to steal a pokemon from the famous Oak lab while the professor was in Goldenrod for a radio show. The security systems activated, catching Silver and Nidoking in the act, and the guards attacked the two in their escape.
Despite its efforts to keep up, Nidoking's wounds were especially severe, including a missing eye, a missing claw, and a broken horn. Retreating into the Viridian forest, Silver saw these injuries, and panicked, hastily treating his wounds. The guards caught up to the two of them, and instead of running away as Silver ordered, Nidoking stood and faught until the guards surrendered and ran off.
Because of the stress, fear and worry that was overwhelming him, Silver became angry. The act of defiance from Nidoking broke his heart, as he thought that Nidoking would always agree with him no matter what he decided. Rather than accepting Nidoking's decision, Silver let his panic overtake him. He hit Nidoking, and told him that he didn't want a disobedient pokemon. He ordered Nidoking to leave. He masked his fear of abandonment, his fear that Nidoking would die on him, by retaliating with violence.
Nidoking accepted the order, quietly retreating into the depths of the Viridian forest, where it waits even to this day for Silver to come back, even though he knows Silver won't return until he's forgiven himself for pushing away his first true friend.
