I have 4 first cousins. Adam and Jason, from my cool Tante Alene and Uncle Ron and Robbie and Christopher, from my Uncle Bill and his divorced religious-nut wife.

All were invited to the wedding (except for the right-wing, home-school-to-save-from-the-heathens, super-saved Christian ex-wife). Robbie is 21, has a job and lives with my Uncle bill

Maybe it is the religious thing... But another thought is that he's 17. Maybe he does have something that interests him more than a wedding. Weddings are boring, stupid things when you're younger. I don't know when that changes for some. For some people, though, it never changes. So don't lose hope, maybe he just needs to know how much it means to you for him to be there?

He's a part of my family, I don't care if he thinks it's going to be boring, you come to your family's big events. I'm the first Kahn of the whole generation to be getting hitched, he should come.

If he has something better or more important, he needs to man up and say so. Same thing for the religious views. If you're going to take a stand on something, frakkin' take a stand. Don't sit there quietly and do nothing, have enough strength in your beliefs to declare them as such.

The reason I'm convinced that it's a religious issue is that he hasn't responded to my query of why he can't make it. He's been on facebook a bunch of times since I sent it.
