Summary: Who'd have thought that video games could lead to this?
A/N: For Sian, because she's not well and she's had a crap week and because she loves Eunhyuk and Donghae. As I've had Heechul say before, "there is no accounting for taste."
Also, Donghae and Eunhyuk are totally playing Motor Racer. Totally. I love that game.
And I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep this posting speed up. Inspiration: it's a double ended sword *collapses from exhaustion*
"If you don't stop killing me, I will dye all your underwear pink."
Donghae grinned at him with his tongue poking slightly through his teeth. "It's not my fault that you're bad at video games," he said, because it isn't, and Eunhyuk is. They've currently played twenty-seven games, and Donghae has won twenty-seven games, and it looks like it's soon going to be twenty-eight, judging by the way that Eunhyuk is gripping his controller.
"One more game," said Eunhyuk desperately. "Just one more game and then we can stop. I can win this time."
"Twenty-seven wins against one isn't a very good statistic, though," pointed out Donghae, showing a great deal of insight and just a little smugness.
"I can win," said Eunhyuk, and Donghae just looked at him.
"Are you sure?" He asked in a pitying tone. "Because I'd hate for you to lose aga-"
"Just play," interrupted Eunhyuk in a dark voice. Donghae, once more, pressed the start button.
Donghae really didn't think that it was possible to lose, because, after all, Hankyung can beat Eunhyuk at video games and Hankyung can't even understand the instructions and has to play with Heechul screaming what to do in his ear. The racing game that they've been playing for the past hour isn't especially hard, but Eunhyuk can't seem to keep his bike on the track, and every time he crashes into the side his player falls off and that wastes precious time that Donghae spends speeding past. He could help him, give him some advice like don't crash, you complete idiot, but that would be giving Eunhyuk an unfair advantage.
Unfortunately for Donghae, when Eunhyuk put his mind to something, he did it, and if he said he was going to win, then he was going to win, damn it.
There was complete silence as Donghae came to the realisation that he was two laps behind, with no way of catching up in time, and Eunhyuk hadn't crashed once. Something in the world had shifted - this was not supposed to happen. The tide came in, the sun rose in the east and set in the west, and Eunhyuk lost at video games. These were the most basic rules of the universe, and Eunhyuk was ruining it.
"Aha!" Eunhyuk yelled as he, too, noticed that Donghae's blue dot was very far behind his own red one. "I'm going to win!"
And in that second, Donghae decided to do something that was partly genius, but more absolutely stupid. It was funny how often those two went together in Donghae's life.
He stopped his bike for a few seconds ("You'll lose even harder if you do that," said Eunhyuk, completely unaware of what was coming), and leant over Eunhyuk's lap to block his view, and kissed him quite firmly.
"Yay!" Donghae shouted a minute later, when his player edged past the finishing point, and Eunhyuk's remained in a fireball from where it had smashed into the crash barrier. "I won again!"
"You kissed me," said Eunhyuk in a shell-shocked voice.
"Yes," said Donghae cheerfully. "And I won. Again."
"You kissed me," repeated Eunhyuk.
"Yes," repeated Donghae, a lot slower and louder, just in case it wasn't quite sinking into Eunhyuk's head. It happens a lot to Eunhyuk, and people do it a lot to him too, and it doesn't always work, but he doesn't tell them that, because it would be heartbreaking for them. He can tell.
Eunhyuk looked at him in shock and disappointment. "That's cheating," he said, and then added, "and possibly sexual harassment."
"No, it's not," Donghae told him with a grin and folded his arms. "There's nothing in the rule books about it."
"There's nothing in the bible about putting pepper in your best friend's underwear, doesn't mean you should do it," said Eunhyuk with an exasperated roll of his eyes.
"But I did that, too," pointed out Donghae and smiled widely and innocently.
"I know," said Eunhyuk. "But you shouldn't. Just like you shouldn't kiss someone just to win at a racing game."
"I did that, too," said Donghae, and smiles until it becomes incredibly irritating and Eunhyuk pushes him over.
Donghae refuses to take this lying down (literally), because Eeteuk says that violence Should Not Be Tolerated, and that it is Wrong and should be Stamped Out. Eeteuk also hits Kangin on the head, but that's different, and Heechul hits everyone, but that's different too, because they aren't about to tell Heechul that violence Should Not Be Tolerated, not if they value their life. But the fact remains that Eunhyuk pushed him and it hurt, and so he pushed back, even harder, and that led to an impromptu wrestling match.
An impromptu wrestling match that Eunhyuk won, although Donghae later claimed that Eunhyuk has very sharp fingernails and therefore he fought in spite of danger to his eyes. Donghae soon found himself on his back on the floor, one hand held above his head and the other pinned down by his side by Eunhyuk's leg, both of which were straddling his hips. "Oh," said Donghae, and wriggled in an attempt to get out of the hold that Eunhyuk has on him, but all that did was make their current position even more awkward, because now Eunhyuk's knee was pressing quite painfully in his side.
"Okay," said Donghae. "You win." Eunhyuk just stared at him, with a crease in between his eyebrows and an unreadable expression on his face. Donghae blinked a couple of times at him. "What?" He asked.
"I can't believe you kissed me," said Eunhyuk, and leant down and kissed Donghae.
Holy what Jesus Christ Siwon and a little green alien flashed through Donghae's mind before something clicked and he realised that his neck was hurting from holding it up to reach. Eunhyuk lesseneded his hold on his wrist and he pulled it out of his grip and wrapped it around Eunhyuk's neck to pull him closer, and Eunhyuk's hand ghosted over his shoulder, down his side and then settled on his hip, the other touching Donghae's jaw line. Donghae thought that he might have made a couple of stupid noises that could possibly have been moans, but he couldn't be sure, because the blood that pulsed in his ear was so loud that Eunhyuk must have been able to hear it.
"Ew," said a voice from the door, where Heechul was leaning against the door frame and covering his eyes with one hand and waving them away with a dramatic flourish of the other. "Get a room, for god's sake."
"Will do," said Donghae cheerfully, and Eunhyuk hit him on the shoulder. Donghae didn't think that was a Good Idea, because, to be honest, it was Eunhyuk hitting him that started the entire thing off, and not Donghae beating him at video games, as Eunhyuk wanted everyone else to believe. He pushed Eunhyuk over and smiled brightly at Heechul, who gave him a weird look and left them alone, muttering incomprehensibly about kissing and things I did not need to see.
"So," said Donghae, leaning on his elbow to hover above Eunhyuk, on his back on the floor. "Is there anything about kissing your best friend in the bible?"
"You know, I think there is," said Eunhyuk, but kissed him anyway.
