this video. Because Kyuhyun manages to get Yehsung's voice absolutely perfect, and that is amazing.
Is there a disorder where you find it impossible to stop writing fic? There should be. I'm suffering from it.
"It's like this," said Ryeowook, and dropped his voice to a nice, low level, and sang a certain line from Dancing Out. Kyuhyun listened carefully, placing his chin on his hand in a thoughtful and utterly ridiculous manner, and then shook his head.
"No," he said. "It's more like this," and did a remarkable impression of Yehsung, which had Ryeowook staring at him in awe.
"How did you learn to do that?" He asked, as if it was some sort of super power or something (although Eeteuk always said that a voice can sway thousands, but Ryeowook doubted that was what he meant).
Kyuhyun shrugged. "There's not much to do in a hospital, you know," he said with a grin.
"Hello," said Yehsung from the other side of the room. "I am sitting right here."
Two blank faces turned to face him, and then looked away again.
"I think I do it best when I sing that line from The One I Love, though," said Kyuhyun, and sang it, complete with hand motions, and Ryeowook clapped loudly and made a strange noise that was a mixture of a quiet cheer and a squeal. Yehsung turned over in his bed and started fumbling around on his bedside table for his mp3 player and headphones, but he couldn't find it, and when he thought about it, the one that Eunhyuk was listening to earlier on his way to Sukira looked exactly like Yehsung's. There are ups and downs to being in this band, and that is certainly one of the downs.
"Be quiet," he called behind him, refusing to look at where Kyuhyun and Ryeowook are sitting together on Kyuhyun's bed.
"No," said Ryeowook. "We can talk if we want, it's Kyuhyun's room too."
Yehsung sat up and glared at them, pushing his hair from his face. "No, you can't," he said firmly. "I'm the hyung here, and I say you've got to shut up, or go somewhere else."
"Touchy," said Kyuhyun with a grin.
"Don't get me started on you," said Yehsung, and he stood up with his hands on his hips and his glare increased tenfold. "You are a bad influence and shouldn't be allowed to have anything to do with Ryeowook."
"You had him before me," said Kyuhyun. "He's hardly as pure as driven snow."
"You're the one who kissed me first," said Ryeowook, folding his arms, and Yehsung hates it when this happens, because it's just not fair to have two against one, and Ryeowook always takes Kyuhyun's side whenever they have arguments, because he's not been well you know.
"That's not the point," said Yehsung, unsure now as to what the point quite was. "The point is that Kyuhyun is leading you to make fun of your elders."
"It's not making fun of you," said Ryeowook, adorably confused while Kyuhyun grinned knowingly. "It's called imitation."
"And that's just another name for making fun of someone," said Yehsung, in his best teacher-ly voice.
"Heechul imitates Hankyung all the time," pointed out Ryeowook, "And Hankyung doesn't get annoyed."
"Yes he does," said Yehsung. "You can tell it annoys him, because his right eyebrow twitches, and Siwon has to put a hand on his arm to stop him from doing anything. I say it's his own fault, myself, because God was going to punish him for having the bad taste to sleep with someone like Heechul."
"You're so unreasonable," said Ryeowook, firmly in a huff now.
"Let me get this straight," said Yehsung slowly. "I'm unreasonable, because I'm telling you to be quiet, because I was just sitting here quietly reading, and you two came in and sat down and started making fun of my voice. I'm unreasonable to ask you to stop doing that."
"Yes," said Ryeowook, and there wasn't anything in the way he sounded that suggested that he was in the wrong.
"You're mad," said Yehsung.
"You're mad," said Kyuhyun, doing that ridiculously good impression of Yehsung again.
"I hate you," Yehsung told him, and sat back down on the bed.
"I hate you," mimicked Kyuhyun, as Ryeowook giggled into his hands.
"That's it," said Yehsung, and he stood up again and walked over to the closed door. "I'm leaving."
"Hyung," said Ryeowook in a desperate voice, "Hyung, don't leave, we were only joking." Yehsung ignored him, even though Ryeowook did sound sincerely sorry, and he still can't work out if Ryeowook knows how to lie. He thought that he can, and that's he's just very, very good at it. Yehsung didn't think that it's possible that anyone could be as innocent as Ryeowook sometimes seemed to be.
"We could make it worth your while to stay," said Kyuhyun, in a low voice, and while Yehsung knows that Kyuhyun knows how to lie, he stopped anyway, his hand paused above the handle.
"How so?" His voice was casual, as if he would reject the proposition if it wasn't quite good enough, but chances were that he was going to stay anyway, because if he remembered correctly, then it was only Donghae and Kibum in the main room, and while Kibum would let him, Donghae wasn't going to let him read, not when there's other, more interesting things to do, like make cakes that collapse in the middle, or play a weird game that is a variation of Rock Paper Scissors that has a dangerous element of tae-kwon-do in there, like the one that Donghae made up a week ago, which managed to twist Eeteuk's wrist, and caused some panic as everyone thought that Eunhyuk had broken his leg.
Chances are, he's staying in the room.
"I don't know," said Kyuhyun, still that same tone of voice. "Why don't you tell us?"
Yehsung grinned and took his hand off the handle.

Ryeowook yawned as he padded into the kitchen, the tiled floor cold on his bare feet, still in his pyjamas because he couldn't be bothered to get dressed straight away, not when he didn't have to leave the house until after midday anyway. Eeteuk and Donghae were at the table when he came in, and they grinned widely at him, but he didn't really notice in the wake of the incredible urge to have coffee before he falls down.
"Morning," he mumbled as he sat down at the table, and Eeteuk handed him a mug of coffee that he sipped, and then he yelped as it burnt his mouth. It took a few minutes for him to look up again, and the two other people in the room were still grinning at him, looking incredibly amused about something. "What?" He asked, and took another sip.
"Nothing," trilled Eeteuk brightly, as Donghae stifled laughter behind his hands. Ryeowook stared at them, put it down to stress finally getting to the two, and focused his attention back to the coffee.
"I found it!" Eunhyuk fell into the room, holding his laptop tightly and waving a silver disk around with his other hand. "Sungmin had it in his room, I stole it from him and-" He stopped, noticing Ryeowook, and stood in the middle of the room awkwardly. "Never mind," he said.
"What is it?" Ryeowook asked, as Eeteuk glared at Eunhyuk, and Donghae started to laugh again.
"Nothing," said Eunhyuk brightly, and tried to hide the disk behind his back, and failed miserably at doing so.
"What's on the disk?" Ryeowook asked, wide-eyed innocence and curiosity on his face, masking the worry and annoyance he felt inside.
Eunhyuk glanced at Eeteuk, who nodded, and he put the laptop on the table and opened it, switched it on, and inserted the disk. "Promise me you won't get angry," he said, as the mouse hovered above the play button. "I swear, it wasn't me who did it."
"It wasn't me either," said Donghae, and Eeteuk just shook his head in denial.
"What is it?" Ryeowook was getting quite scared now, because if something was being kept a secret from him, then it probably wasn't something good.
Eunhyuk hit the play button, and for a few seconds there was nothing but silence, as the timer on the CD went up, and then suddenly, there was the sound of running water, and then, after a minute or so of Ryeowook looking at the other three like they were mad, a noise became audible, quiet at first, before it got louder and louder, and Ryeowook realised with a jolt what it was.
"Is that me?" He asked, horrified, as Donghae started to snigger behind his hands and Eeteuk tried to keep his laughter in. "Is that me singing in the shower?"
No one answered him, but their laughter was enough for Ryeowook. He knew that sometimes, he did sing in the shower, but at least no one could hear it normally, unlike, say, Kangin or Eeteuk, and at least he didn't come into the bathroom when people were showering like Eunhyuk seemed to enjoy doing. Ryeowook would probably have admitted it anyway if anyone had asked him, but the way that this had been revealed was completely embarrassing, and he felt himself turn bright red, as Eeteuk gave over any pretence of not laughing and Eunhyuk joined in as the CD started to play again, obviously on repeat. Perhaps Ryeowook should do some damage control.
"That's horrible," he said in a miserable voice, and let his bottom lip wobble. He'd managed to get a few lessons from Kibum on how to fake tears, although he'd claimed that they were for any future drama roles, and he wasn't sure Kibum would appreciate his lessons being used like this. Still, desperate times called for desperate measures. "Hyung, that's a horrible thing to do. Who did that?"
Eeteuk stopped laughing immediately; it took the other two a couple of seconds to calm down, but they did, thinking that Ryeowook was upset by the CD, and while he was upset by it, it was more that he was embarrassed by it. "We don't know," said Eeteuk soothingly, putting his arm around Ryeowook's shoulder and hugging him close as Ryeowook let a tear slip down his cheek. "We found it yesterday on the coffee table in the main room."
"Then it's someone in this dorm," wailed Ryeowook. "Someone in the band hates me and wants me to feel bad!"
"That's not it," said Eunhyuk, who looked positively alarmed by it now. "It's just a joke."
"I don't like jokes like that," said Ryeowook, and sniffed.
Suddenly, so sudden, and so loud, that all four of them jumped, there was a scream that tapered into a groan of annoyance and anger from the adjacent room where they kept the washing machine and where all the laundry was put. They turned to stare at the door, Ryeowook's CD and tears forgotten in the face of a new emergency, and Kyuhyun burst through the door, holding a shirt and a pair of white boxer shorts, which had previously been white, and were now -
"Pink!" Kyuhyun yelled. "Someone - someone dyed all my white clothes pink. And not any shade of pink, a beautiful, pale, sugary shade of pink! Who the - what did - what?" He looked completely lost for words as he held up his pink clothes, and he looked so funny, and sounded so indignant, that even Ryeowook had trouble holding his laughter in - Eunhyuk, Eeteuk and Donghae didn't quite manage it, and before long, Donghae was rolling around on the floor in laughter, while Eeteuk and Eunhyuk clutched at each other, practically crying.
"Someone recorded me singing in the shower," said Ryeowook, pouting at Kyuhyun. "Someone's playing pranks on us."
There was a pause, as they tried to think of a suspect - someone that they might have annoyed in the past week, because this was really the only way to get back at someone who annoyed you when you're in a band that has to actually get along because you all live together. It only took them a couple of seconds to work it out, and they seemed to realise it at the same time. They certainly screamed the name at the same time.
"Yehsung!"
Down the corridor, Yehsung was busy constructing a barricade against the door using a chair, a box of old books, and a sleeping Shindong.
