Of scammers and business

So, all of the brouhaha about the scam activity on egl/egl_comm_sales of late kind of has me wondering about what to do with the commissioning service I want to establish. I could really use the income, for one, and it's better than spending my time bagging groceries at jewel, but I feel like right now people are just not going to be commissioning items from people they don't know. It doesn't help that I'm not particularly active in egl itself, just the local and side communities. How can I get people to trust me with their money when so many seemingly trustworthy individuals lately have been taking the cash and disappearing? Is the quality of my goods enough to stand on that some people will buy from me even with all of the problems lately? I've looked into registering as an LLC, because it would give me some accountability and make it much, much easier for people to get justice in the hypothetical situation that I did scam someone, but it costs 500-600 bucks that I just don't have right now, and probably won't anytime in the near future. Any thoughts?

lolita, stuff that pisses me off
