I have been getting quite worryingly obsessed with building up my icon collection lately. I blame LJ for all those free icon spots.

Icons are funny - on the one hand, I really like the idea of having a few pictures which people will instantly associate with me, as I do for others' (such as your Huflepuf Molesworth); on the other hand I'm going through a really weird love/hate relationship with the written word at the moment (hmm. some confession for an online journal, hey?) and the idea of evoking lots of things in images is hugely appealing. If LJ keep giving me pictures I might be tempted to start communicating entirely in icons and punctuation marks :-)

As I said to lyras, I like the idea of having an image that says 'here I am'. How far I'll keep to that with my new embarrassment of riches remains to be seen!
