Write a story or poem or create artwork where the character conquers his or her fears.

This started out being a story about Brand getting over his fear of water, then it turned into something else.  I had a couple of inspirations for this one.  First of all ( Read more... )

This is at the quality that I would expect from you, and it was a pleasure revisiting characters that I have become extremely fond of over the past few months since I was introduced to your writing. A real delight.

Awwww. I always love spending time with your characters.

(in fact I just reread most of your stories after a couple of years completely out of LotR fandom, and I have come away with a crush on Imrahil)

A crush on Imrahil is a most worthy thing. My work here is done!

Glad to have you back, BTW!

Will you still be glad to have me back if I start pestering you for Imrahil/Heth shippiness?

I have just finished reading Naomi Novik's Temeraire series, and then I reread your stuff, and now I am writing a scribbly little story about a dragon turning up at Minas Tirith during the siege and becoming fast friends with Amrothos..

yeahno, none of that makes sense, but hey, I'm having fun :-)

I've enjoyed the Temeraire books greatly myself, though at this point I'm puzzled about the direction she's taking and liked the first two the best.

You may actually get some Imrahil/Heth shippiness here eventually.

I'd like to see the Amrothos story!

I do love your Amrothos. Dol Amroth's very own geek. This made me wish for summer and the sea!

(And am intrigued - what sun cream would Fourth Age Gondor have had?)

I'm figuring it's more of a covering cream, like zinc oxide. But who knows, Middle-earth might have had some herbal additives to help block sun burn as well!

Nice! I particularly love Amrothos's attitude to religion.

Thanks! I figure he'd have to be something of a skeptic. It was a lot of fun writing him-once Amrothos gets talking to me we always have a good time. Which is odd, because I'm not scientific at all!

Glad you liked it! Believe me, with the weather we've been having, I needed to write something with the sun in it! And I was so pleased that Elphir opened up a bit for me.
