For those still interested in going to the PAX, I have tabulated a few options for us:

Car: Courtesy of Mapquest.com, I discovered that it'd be 2022 miles to drive. Assuming that one of us has a car and that it gets 20 miles to the gallon (which is being very generous), we'd use up 101.1 gallons of gasoline. Assuming the price of petrol is about ( Read more... )

Even better: I live in Southern California, so you can fly out here the night before and we can drive up.

Just check out the site and check out the costs of registration and tournaments you wish to enter.

Keep in mind: it doesn't happen until the end of August.

Plane sounds good to me.

Don't forget that taking a car or bus would also have costs of food, and a lot of patients. A plane, for slightly more money, gives us a meal, and much less hassle when it comes to time taken to arrive. We also won't have to worry about sleeping at a hotel or anything, as we might if we took a car unless we were planning on driving non-stop.
