dolique: it's just all "blah blah blah his mother went insane and gave birth in a pigsty, therefore our hero is named Pigsty"
dolique: and "he knows a lot of courtiers' names which means the storyteller would have had to as well, which means the story functions as a repository for cyfarwyddyd which is a word for folklore with a lot of Ds ( Read more... )

I envy you and your Welsh studies-of-some-sort. Not that I don't intend to spend years studying those islands and their history and literature for Grad school, but still. ENVY.
