dude, that's so fucked up. not serving for more than one year?? not being a senior?? The reason you stay in debate until you're a senior is to hold office and be a captain. not that I need to tell you that, but that's the only reason I stayed in debate.

that's so incredibly stupid. are you gonna talk to rocca? granted that that man isn't much more than a block of wood when it comes to reasoning.

good luck amanda!! you don't deserve to be shafted and definitely deserve some sort of leadership or captain position for all of the work you've put into it!

Rocca later clarified that these were guidelines, but his mentality is "my team, my decision." WTF. I didn't have an issue with his judgment because we both would have chosen the same person for Congress. However, he didn't handle debate the best way, and I'm bothered that he's trying to act like MP with NMHS. We're different teams with completely different sizes. I don't think he realizes that captains for MP have few responsibilities until tournaments because MP debate isn't big on meeting during the week. Whatever, whatever, the whole system is messed up. He shouldn't advertise his guidelines to everyone because people get different impressions of where they stand, and a lot of people say they would rather be captains senior year than officers (totally defeating his senior policy). I'll be here for you to vent to next year, believe me.

IE is just...weird. The whole captains thing is just weird. Thank goodness Congress didn't have any drama, or I would have to flip slam down a bitch...or something.
