Did anybody else feel like, in a recent Sam and Fuzzy, Sam Logan put Conscience Cat in there specifically so that people would request a T-shirt design out of it?

The fourth panel does seem a little too well-suited to a t-shirt design, doesn't it? The t-shirt angle didn't really occur to me when I first saw the strip. This isn't the first time he's crafted a punchline out of some wacky hallucination, after all. An adorable, flying cat, though-that's just a little too marketable to be free of suspicion!

(I kind of miss the good ol' days when he did primarily gag-a-day strips, to be honest. It's kind of too bad that the entire strip has been hijacked by ninja mafiosi.)

Yeah, like...come on. Ninjas? Really? I mean, I know we're on the internet and all, but come on.

And it's been, what-two years? Three? The whole Ninja Mafia thing feels like a bit gag that gained way too much power. Not that he's handled it really poorly or anything, but yeah ... I second the "come on" sentiment.

Yeah... though at the same time, I can understand why he moved on from gag-a-day. Stories are more interesting to write!

I kind of doubt that he thought to himself, "Okay, I need a new t-shirt design," before making the strip. My guess is that he came up with the idea of a conscience cat, realized it would make for a good shirt design, and then made the strip with that in mind. Anyway, I don't really blame him!
