It upset me too. Her poor baby. I hope it goes to a nice gay couple or something and not to Anna's hillbilly relatives.

Ugh, I hope so too! Can you imagine if it went to her cracked out cousin who visited her once or twice on her show? That girl was trash!

I don't care about celebrities, but when anyone dies at just 39, it's sad - and whenever they leave behind a child, it's tragic.

I wonder how it happened.

I feel the same way, I suppose that's why I'm sad. Also since her son died not too long ago at a very young age, she's had to deal with a lot of crap.

My god, I can't believe I'm being serious about Anna Nicole Smith. But it's sad!

Honestly, I'm thinking it was probably all of the dieting, pills and stuff. Your body can only take so much.

I was near tears when I saw it on Headline News at Grand Central today.

I found it very unnerving (not to be confused with surprising) when I first heard too. It's disturbing to think of people just dropping dead like that, but like you said, Marianne, after years of pills and extreme weight fluctuations, it's not unexpected.

I'm starting to feel a sort of negative backlash reaction to the media storm about it, though. Headlines of "tragic beauty" and stuff like that is so corny. Let's not pretend she was something more than she was. This isn't princess diana, here, people.

Still, I have to admit that I always secretly thought it was awesome that she stole the family fortune out from under the noses of some spoiled rich jerks.
