I really, really love this line. It's simultaneously complimentary and patronizing-in other words, wholly St. James. The description afterward is wholly gorgeous, too, and then the softest smile she knows is lovely and eminently picture-able. These are my kids, and you've got them word-perfect.

Aw, awwwww. I have not yet forgiven Glee for what they did to Jesse! Surely he was a better person than that! Not much better, I will grant you, but definitely better. And this fic just sends me to such a happy place, oh joy. :D
