In Five Years Time (Nathan/Audrey)redbrunjaAugust 21 2011, 10:15:08 UTC
Nathan doesn't remember his dreams, not normally. Lately, however, he's been waking up with a nightmare crystal clear in his mind.
This is what he dreams: He dreams he's fixed. He dreams that plates are hot, that drinks are cold, that cuts sting, and burns throb, and he can feel, that he's just like everyone else, instead of being one step removed.
Once he realizes this, he goes looking for Audrey because - well, because. He goes looking for his partner and that's when he realizes, she's gone. She's gone because the Troubles are gone. Even though he lived through them once, now Audrey is inextricably part of Haven's secrets and when his town returns to just being a quiet touristy, fishing village on Maine's coast... he knows Audrey isn't going to be around to enjoy it.

...and here I tried to encourage something fluffy! But I loved it anyway because it is fantastic. I especially liked "he goes looking for Audrey because - well, because". That is my favorite part of their whole relationship!

Yeah, that's pretty much their relationship in a nutshell.
