Oh, to be a student!

Today i went to my soon-to-be-university's Open Day!(Glasgow, hee.)

I can now safely say that i am going to LOVE being a student *beams* The atmosphere is so incredible, there's such a buzz. And i swear, i have never seen so many young adults in one place at the one time and that was just the Open Day! And not only that, there were so many uniquely dressed people. Yup, i think i'm going to feel right at home. I'm so excited! Can you tell? ;P 20 days to go!

My friend Michael and I(He's going to be a primary teacher too, woo!) first went to the talk on the course we'll be doing(B.Ed in Primary Education) and it was so informative, we found out exactly when we'll be doing school placements, what our timetable will be like and all sorts of other stuff! She(Patricia Brown, the head of our first 2 years) also told us that of the 1900 people that applied last year(meaning Michael and I) only around 160 people got a place. I nearly fainted lol. It really showed how many people we were up against, and 5 of my friends got in too so that makes it even more awesome!

After that we visited the library, which i now love as well *grins*. It has 12 floors, yup you read that right, i said 12. We'll be mainly on the 4th floor i think, although there will be things we'll need to get from the 2nd and 3rd floors too. Claire hun? There was law stuff on the 7th floor(It's old pieces though, for research etc) :) Karyn doll? There was def Science stuff on the 3rd floor(mainly journals etc), but i think there are other floors too! I think my favourite place had to be right at the top of the building. I saw a book of Geoffrey Chaucer's work(I did a tiny squee *g*) and best of all...*sighs with bliss* there's a door you can walk through that takes you to a corridor that's window-glazed on one side, where you can see the West End of Glasgow! I swear, it was absolutely AMAZING! If i need a break, or some inspiration, that's where i'll be going *beams*.

We walked about the main campus for a while too, i found out where Bute Hall is, which is gorgeous too, and i just...i love Glasgow Uni! :D

It was great, we went for lunch afterwards and i showed the way! I didn't realize that i have a pretty good idea of where everywhere is in Glasgow, city centre-wise at least, and i felt very grown up, woo hoo!

Then! When i got home, i had half an hour to relax and then i had to go across the street to Blockbusters for an interview! I was so so nervous but the interviewer was lovely, and she told me when i gave good answers so i felt a bit better. At the end as she walked me out i mentioned that that was my first ever job interview and she replied "Really?! Well you did very well!" so that was fab! She also set me a task to make a sales pitch for Wii Sports(the game?) in 5 minutes and i made her laugh a few times so that was awesome. Fingers crossed it went okay!

So all in all it was a great day! There was one moment where i felt a bit weird, i saw someone who i don't speak to anymore but nothing happened so it was fine. There'll be times in life where i'll be put in that situation when i'm even older so i better get used to it!

Oopsie, that's mum calling me down for dinner, better go!

Let me know how you're all getting on, will you?

*squishes her awesome flist*

P.S. Did i ramble too much?
P.P.S. longhairedlady? I am so sorry sweetheart, i've written a story for your prompt but i need to type it up and then get it beta'ed but i'll have it up asap, okay?
