up until yesterday i was pretty convinced that i would be in a (vocal, as always) minority. working in a bookstore and wishing that harry potter was not the foundation of society seemed to be incompatible ( Read more... )

Haha, I am a big Harry Potter fan. Have it sitting on my dining room table just waiting for me to have time to read it. But I don't think that they're the greatest books every written in the history of the entire world or anything like that. (But I will kill anyone who spoils it for me. I want to enjoy the book, and at a leisurely pace.)

I drove through Greensboro today on my way to go hiking and I thought of you.

hehe:-D it's rare to see people who enjoy harry potter, while not canonizing it as the greatest achievement in the 21st century.

And There was somthing I had to tell you because you would appreciate it, but I have no idea what it was, it came to me when I was drinking alone in the afternoon yesterday. Someday we may know what it was. So I need to see you sometime we will have to figure out a way to do so.

And P.S. I agree with the idea that I really do enjoy the series but it is not A) a way of life, and B) I have read better books. I will give it this as a top though I have never heard of a book series that was this long this popular and this good. I mean 7 books all of the same quality and not overdoing the same thing over and over is a pretty amazing accomplishment. For those of us that like it it hasen't been ruined by the author just doing to many re-dos. I can think of several movie series that lead themselves to this unfortonate death.

oh totally. i don't hate on people who like them. i hate on people who think i'm a bad person for not liking what i have difficulty following (way too many characters doing way too many intricate things).

when the time comes i'm gonna be keepin' you warm...
