It's amazing what you find when...

you clean up a computer. I'm currently in the process of transfering from one laptop to another at work, and found a copy of some poems I wrote a few years ago. Reading these really made me remember more about where I was, and what I was feeling at the time ( Read more... )

michael?

you wrote poetry?

and all this time i never knew... ::runs many scenes of life-with-mike through head and tries to fit poem-pages between the photographs--the new book made is cool indeed::

please don't regret posting. i've learned a whole new mikie-story! and you remind me that i haven't written anything in forever-plus (maybe a few shattered verses, usually about relatively dumb stuff, during class, when i was supposed to be doing other things, during my last degree!)... a little guilt to nudge the other artists out there is also a good thing.

there's more?

Dontcha love it when life throws you a curve like that?

What?, you really thought that I was the responsible, quiet, reserved, poor speller for real? It's all been a front to keep the women from overwelming me ;)

Thanks for the encouragement, there are in fact a few more floating about, There are 7 from that period in time. Those two are probably the best (I'm looking at the rest right now), but all of them actually capture something from the time that I can remember. Here is another short one:

"Wasted Words"
Forgive me my wasted words
The words that interupt our silence
each wasted phrase, each broken moment...

you're a sweet onion-baby, too.
that's haiku-esque and everything.

but i appreciate your previous reticence. how would i ever have gone about my life if i knew what a woman-magnet you really were--you've been hiding from me all this time. :)
