This is the first full lesson post I've read, and sounds cool! I'll have to tack learning to fly a helicopter onto my list of things to do eventually. ;) And it sounds like you have a cool instructor, which definately helps! I remember when I was getting some flying lessons a while ago, I had a neighbor of my uncles giving them to me, and older guy, and he was very relaxed and stuff. I mean I had already flown a few times with my brother by this point, but I think durring one of the lessons, I ended up accidentally in a high approach for an airport, and he just kinda gentley took the yoke and turned away. :) I guess that's a reason to be older than 14 while learning to fly, so you have a concept of things like that.
Anyway, sounds like your lessons are coming along, and you've got a good idea what you need to do it, so that's always a step in the right direction. ;)
I plan on giving my instructors a copy of the journal when I get my license. I'm sure it will give them a chuckle, but it also might help them teach to see it from the student's perspective.
