I thought what Aasve, the Norwegian sociologist, said about the contrast between Norway and other European countries, and the conclusion which considered the fact that the USA is not having such a problem, was interesting-- that a society must be either "generous" or "flexible," and also a lesser social stigma attached to women working (p. 6 of the article.)
