I've just finished Thrones, Dominations, and I didn't care for it. Reminded me of fanfic in a not particularly good way - far too much airtime given to what our favourite characters are doing right now, and what they think about Sex and the writer's particular ship splurged about in era-inappropriate ways. Oh yes, and then there was this murder... which turns out to be really rather yucky.
So here's what I've been thinking. Sayers never finished this book. I don't suppose it was for lack of fans or fame. Could it be that she decided that the plot could just never be made to fly, and the MS was best left unfinished because the story was turning out embarrassing? Or is the domination/love nastiness a product of Paton Walsh?
