Hi. It's been a while.

So I should be starting an electronics retail job next week.

Haha.

I was going to go to broadcasting school but it didn't work out. Hopefully in the spring.

In other news, I finally got something recorded and uploaded. Kind of a warmup. Sorry that it is in no way what I told anyone I was going to record.

It's about an hour long, a political article on ( Read more... )

stupid advanced editor disables html, what the fuck is that? No one ACCIDENTALLY inserts correct HTML into a post, there's no need to disable it just because you have a stupid button that does it for people who don't know how.

I hate you livejournal.

Umm...The Big Lebowski?

Is it your first attempt at a recording? And if so, you can't expect not to make mistakes. Something that is so long will take muuuch time to make perfect, and require many re-recordings. I think this is something that you would be good at. I have heard you speak, and you seem to have an excellent grasp of the language, both in terms of word choice and emphasis.

The Big Lebowski rocks man.

Yeah, I anticipate a lot of mistakes. The biggest problem now is that I don't really have the editing software or experience that I can just read til I make a mistake, stop, edit it out, save that, then keep going where I left off, which is what I'd need to do if I wanted tracks without any errors at all. And I'm too lazy to really do anything about it.

So I figure instead of getting good at editing like that, I'll just get good enough at reading that I don't make mistakes. Problem solved. In a year or so.

you know what works suprisingly well for audio editing? Windows Movie Maker.

swear to god. I did a huge radio show project for Modern Europe, and I edited it in WMM.

Well if you don't want to make out then I'm not gonna give you pictures :(

Heh. I'll see where they're at online and hook you up with some good old-fashion info. I'm sure they're still hosted somewhere, I'm just not quite sure where.

I'm not entirely sure why this popped into my little head, but have you read a book called Henderson the Rain King?

To elaborate more. The main character, Henderson, is a large, rich man. He finds himself very troubled, and after a brief (4 chapter) synopsis of his life, which is both entertaining and enlightening, he launches into the meat of the story, which is amazing. What happens to this man, and his role in its happening is triumph of human-kind. He has an unquenchable thirst for life ( ... )
