Thanks fashion industry...

So I did some reading for my CMN 103 class this morning...and according to the textbook....the fashion industry considers my size 12 body "plus size"...thanks...that makes me feel SO GOOD....in reality though I know their size standards are completely unrealistic. Still, I'm only 20 pounds overweight...and that means I'm "plus size"? *shrugs*

Oh my goodness, I'm a size 10/11 and my parents are always asking me if I eat right when I go home. They think I'm skinny. The fashion industry thinks I'm borderline plus size? Pff. *Shakes fist*

In any case, in real life, size 12 is "men's ideal" according to a a UK survey:

(NSFW? Naked models, but they're being modest.)

Yeah, screw the fashion industry!!

By the way you are quite normal size. Your family shouldn't worry about your weight. ;p

But hey I'm glad to know that in real life I'm "men's ideal" in a UK survey! ^^ It's better to be liked in "real life", right?

*Hugs* I know exactly how you feel.

Depending on the brand, for the most part I wear size 10-11 in jeans/pants while my dress sizes have to be at least 12 or over, since I'm top heavy and it's hard to find dresses that actually fit without feeling all squished to death. D:

It doesn't help that I get pressured to lose weight, especially by family. D:
