have your cake and eat it.

I can have (bake/make) my cake and eat it. Literally.

So mom asked what I wanted for my birthday last month and I jokingly answered "a mango cake", specifically. Tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, Blackforest cake, Pandan cake.. No - it must be a mango mousse cake. To be entirely honest, I can gobble down a 13" mango cake without blinking. I love it ( Read more... )

Hello! I was browsing the hydkorea community when I came across your blog, hehe. :)
If you don't mind me asking, how do you end up with such lovely pictures? I thought that they were all taken with a dslr until I read this post. I have a casio exilim digicam, and none of my pictures ever turn out decent (/_\)...any photo taking tips?

Hi and thanks for dropping by! :) I'm too cheap to get myself a DSLR (though I'm planning to get one in the very far future). Ah you own a Casio exilim? I haven't fiddled with that model before, what's the megapixels like? Mine's a modest 7.1mpix, but I believe that with all cameras, you can get stunning pictures if you know how to make full use of your camera's functions/settings ( ... )

Thank you for the reply! :)
My Casio's a 12.1 mpix model (ex-s6), but I guess I haven't been very good with camera angles and lighting, because most of the pictures I've taken ended up looking really dull, dark, and in some cases even blurry. Even though I've had this camera for a while, I also haven't really fiddled around with it's features. I think I'll take your advice and try to get acquainted with my camera as well. Thanks again for your explanation, hopefully the quality of my pictures will improve! ^^

I don't even eat mango cake but MMMMMMMMMMM~~ the pictures makes it look super delicious!!! Crazy dedicated, you and your mom OTL. Your reasoning for not having much desire to eat the things that you cook are quite different from mine. I would not want to eat because I just KNOW it tastes horrible. Lol.

thank you chulalala <3 I have a tumblr account but I don't post most of my foodies there, hehe. IKR? My mom's evil. Nobody should have to bake their own birthday cakes, that's just... sad :| I have my camera and the sun to thank for that compliment, merci, gracias <3 :')
