the pygmalion effect.

The Pygmalion effect is an interesting phenomenon. Interesting because this concept was introduced to me before, but I hadn't latched on to the idea until recently after watching a Q&A segment of a particular Running Man episode. I've been consciously thinking about how I can apply this theory to help alleviate my fears and phobias. Then I realized ( Read more... )

i'm not a fan of worms and insects in general, but i have to say that the eating of the block of apple sounded intriguing.

My cousin used to keep them as pets but she had those big ones, which was nicer somehow when they grip onto your hand. I don't know if I would be able to touch them now, they take some getting used to and it's been years! I used to be able to play with crickets when I was using them to feed my birds lol but now I think I would freak!

Ps: Your mealworms looks so shiny and clean! Weird. But they look yummy.

Honestly bb, the bigger ones are scary. Because they don't just grip your hand, they literally bite into it >.< Crickets, I don't really adore but I love seeing them hop around! You know what's interesting though, the smaller variety of mealworms, they can actually be kept in the fridge at a certain temperature and they'd then 'hibernate', they stop eating and gaining mass etc. but they're very much alive. I find it really neat!

PS: Oh thank you bb. I clean them every 2 nights max! :D And I feed them Quaker Oats so they smell oaty XD UHH THEY LOOK YUMMY? LMAO. IDEK BB. /looks at you all weird/

My brother once brought back home a couple of mealworms, and we(brother, sister and I) freaked out when one went missing too!

... wonder how the ones at the bottom are feeling. LOL.

HAHAHA your siblings and you are adorable. Fancy freaking out over a missing mealworm! /is guilty of it too/

I suspect the ones at the bottom like it there! Haha, I cakap macam paham aje XD Tapi since generally mealworms like being in dark places, I guess they don't mind being 'stepped' on by their other buddies? HAHAHAHA

MY GOD WOMAN! I was certainly one of those that cringed in horror. I have a huge insect phobia and these just remind me of maggots. I have goosebumps, lol. Oh twinnie, you never fail to surprise me, =)
