I just had to cut 5 years worth of RoS bracelets off my wrist...not aloud to wear them as a bodyworker for sanitary reasons. It actually made me cry. I now have a naked white stripe, it looks really weird the freckles all stop in at the stripe.

you should save them and have them tattooed on you

lol, I'm going to make them attachable and removable with metal findings, tattooing would be a bit much...I get a new one every year. you know which ones I'm talking about the mostly green ones on my right wrist.

Well, I see that as a lesson in (non)attachment. I actually cut mine off every year, as part of a personal ritual of releasing all the work I did there to ripple out into the rest of my life. It's lovely to have physical reminders of experiences and lessons, but also good to recognize that the important growth and changes are within, and the memento is only a thing.

True, I'll try to see it more like that, I guess they were kind of a "crutch". With the stuff that happened as a kid I never really knew who if anyone was going to be there when I needed someone, so I was using the RoS bracelets as a physical reminder that I have a very large family now and I am never alone. Now that's been a few days it's easier to see the real strength of family is in my heart and I don't need a constant reminder; I know it seems silly to fear that it would all disappear without something tangible. ::huggs::
