I feel terrible for you guys but thank goodness Doris is fine and there weren't any serious injuries. It's amazing how something that happens in a split second can have huge consequences.
As for the repairs on the car, I don't think liability insurance will cover (I'm not an expert but I had my share of accidents when I was younger - a few were hit-and-runs but I was at fault in none). Also, not to inject any negativity, but I think you should go to the body shop first thing in the morning and make sure they haven't begun repairing your car. If they have, then they might try to hold it "hostage." Not all repair people are shady, but the shady ones would sell their own mothers into white slavery.

Oh yeah, Crash was crap. Totally implausible, totally misguided. People want to like it to feel as if they have an understanding of LA, but if they think that movie represents any kind of reality, then they don't know shiat. Word.
