the fire 3kms away from here has started up again...

my mates and i are alternating between watching the news on tv, checking the CFA updates and poking our heads outside to see how close/far away the smoke and flames are.

please, please be careful. if it gets too close, pack up bek and the fur kids in the car and get out.

we're being careful.
the fire is still kinda far and would have to actually reach town to impact on us. having said that, we're keeping an eye on it and will leave if need be.
one of the major concerns at the moment is if the power plant/open cut mine catches alight.
i'll keep y'all updated.

I heard about this on the radio today.. I wish you guys would just go and be damned with the house. Seriously.. 3km is about 5 minutes warning if the wind changes direction.
