Camp? I'm so out of it. What camps are they going to, again? We have to catch up this week to work out our trip for Miss Thing's slumber party!

Just day camps in BR.
Emma's going to camp all week at her gym. She's very excited about it since she hasn't been to the gym in a few weeks. They'll run them ragged doing gymnastics most of the day, but they toss in movie rest time, arts and crafts, and water fun outside.
The boys are going to the YMCA day camp. That camp is a mix of craft projects, games and outdoor sports with - their favorite part - swimming every day. Connor is in the oldest group and they get to go on a morning field trip every day. One day is some community service project but the other days are stuff like Laser Tag. So what's not to love about that?

holy shmokes, those camps sound awesome. Why don't adults get to go to these things?

I love these updates, Marla. You make me look forward to family-life with kids who can talk (instead of just drool cutely).

There actually ARE camps like this available for families! I've looked them up before. You can find places all over, online, that offer a typical summer camp experience - with crafts, fishing, singing around the bonfire, the works - where the parents get to come to.

And when they go to Hogwarts camp for two weeks next month, I'll be there right alongside them! :)

While the drool-filled stage is awfully darn cute, I do have to say that it's a whole lot of fun having older kids, too. It's really nice to have little people who *like* doing the things you like doing. Now that we're to a point where we can play board games, watch movies, go see things and places, and we *all* enjoy it, there are a lot of fun options available.
