So, I had actually started doing a version of the meme in my previous post once a while ago but went off on a tangent and ended up saving and forgetting to finish and post it. So now I've gotten it back out to post the tangent part. (Also, it reminded me that I bought Ann Hampton Callaway's CD Slow last month, but I'm not going to mess with that

I know what you mean about songs always being associated with people and places and times, and I agree that it probably happens more with bandies. Perhaps this is because so much of our lives centers around music. For example, "Vehicle" will always remind me of senior year, and "Build Me Up, Buttercup" will always remind me of my freshman year in high school; we performed those songs in those years. ~E-squared

ooh, I forgot about "Build Me Up, Buttercup"--it reminds me of the trip I went on to France after Sophomore year in HS; it was like the only song we could come up with that all knew or something and we sang it all over the place :P
