So, yeah, Mugglenet is definitely one of my favorite sites (and I listen to their podcast religiously!):) And to answer your question about the Weasleys, Mrs. Weasley is always knitting. Every Christmas the kids get a sweater knitted by her. So, that's probably why they always wear something knitted. I guess what it boils down to is that it's cheaper to make clothes for her kids rather than buying all new:) Bet some people didn't think I was this into HP!! Love you bunches!

heheh. yeah I get the logic and all, I was just amused by how overboard the costume designer seems to have gone with the idea in this movie. my mind does go all knitpicky though, with how *my* impression was that it was just the Christmas jumpers and that those were all very basic, and Ron at least never wanted to wear his... also I'd be pretty willing to bet that not much of the stuff in the movie is hand- [or wand-] knitted :P

(personally, I want Ginny's sweater ...or maybe just the tassels really)

I also love mugglenet, I check it often for new pictures, if that makes me a geek, I don't care. ;) And I got a request from my sister to make her a Gryfindor scarf, since her school's colors are burgundy and gold anyway, and she just wants one.

I'm currently (still) knitting a scarf with a rib pattern and the cable pattern down the middle. I started it as my first *real* knitting project last winter, but haven't touched it since then. It's about two feet long, so I've got TONS to do. Good thing it's just a *practice* scarf for myself. Oh knitting, I really do enjoy it. :)

we should have a knitting party! by which I mean just like get together sometime, with anyone else who wants to too, and just hang out and chat and catch up, and we can see what people are working on and even make some progress on our knitting...

I agree, we should have a knitting "party". ;) I know Ana knits, and I know lots of people do, just not specifically which people do. It'd be nice to hang out and try and catch up with my scarf making...
