Heather put hers down and elegantly wiped her mouth with her napkin.

"I never knew these were so good." She said, smiling.

Aiden smiled back. "I'm glad you think so."

"Maybe I should try some of your other favourite foods...." Heather grinned before taking another bite.

Aiden blushed for some reason, perhaps the tone of Heather voice.

"Maybe you should." she agreed.

"Don't be embarassed, I'm glad you did. Gave us an excuse to spend the rest of the day together." Heather smiled.

"Good." Aiden smiled, looking up at Heather. "I'm glad to."

"Do you think the bat house will fit by the oak?" Heather asked.

"I do, so long as we don't put it too close to the tree."

[lady_h_csi]

"At least let me pick you up. That way I can make sure you get home safe." Heather said softly.

She'd respect Aiden's wishes, hide the fact she'd wake up early and not be able to rest until her lover came home, but she couldn't bare the thought of Aiden coming home in a cab.

"I'd like that." Aiden smiled softly. "I can have them call you when I'm in recovery."

"Just promise me that they'll call me if they need to." Heather's voice was soft, her eyes betraying her concern.

Aiden scooted her chair closer to Heather and reached for her hand.

"They will. I'll be fine. I have a reason to live now."

"In a while. I think we should probably change into more casual clothing first." Heather teased gently.

"We?" Aiden said skeptically, looking down at herself. Jeans and a baseball tee, looked fine to her. "And just what is wrong with my outfit." Granted she had underwear on that she shouldn't have once since it was dedicated for work, but she wasn't going to admit that.

"Okay, so maybe I should get changed." Heather laughed softly.

Aiden laughed along with Heather. "And I'll take our lunch tray out." And run upstairs and change out of my uniform. She separated herself from Heather and gathered everything together on the tray.

"I'll be in my car." Heather smiled and nodded her agreement.

Aiden smiled and promised to be only a minute. She was, rushing up the back stairs and grabbing her purse. She quickly returned and met Heather at her car.

Heather smiled at Aiden as she got in the car, and leaned over giving her beloved a kiss.

Aiden was always flad to accept a kiss from Heather and lingered as long as her love would let her before she set back and buckled herself in.

"Am I dressed alright for a walk through a bird sanctuary?" She questioned.
