[The recording starts off with a shot of the Keep's sky. There's a sound of someone moving about in water as the angle starts to shift down to Sandrath's face, who was dripping wet. He grins a bit before exhaling some air to move some stray bangs out of his face.]What I find interesting is the hospitality of this place. Practically everything here ( Read more... )

Everything being free really takes the fun out of things, doesn't it.

Yeah, you know what other place doesn't require you pay for anything, except by suffering through the experience?

Prison.

I guess that could be a possibility.

[He gave a small shrug.]

Although it also depends on where that place is located and what time period.

I guess you could also call it an asylum.

That sounds a bit more fitting, wouldn't you agree?

[Wink.]

Do you really think it's as simple as all that?

Do you mean that everything isn't free or something else?

I mean that it can't simply be bad experiences they're using to make us earn our keep.

Yeah, I did.

... I'd say that while it is a possibility that our... participation in, or unravelling of, whatever happens here could be seen as a form of payment, not everything has a price.

[There's a pause.]

There's also a few other possibilites; he's not sorry, but whether or not he's been truthful, not putting a price on anything may lessen tensions as no one needs to worry about whether they can afford basic necessities. We can also already have paid any price beyond reason, and we just aren't aware of it.

[What, caring about the fact that you've been swimming and is dripping wet? Whatever do you mean. If you didn't wish to be engaged, don't put forth such questions.]

That is true.

[Oh there was a bit of a purpose to him doing this, even if he had grown bored of just relaxing in the hot springs.]

Perhaps. With no way of either confirming or denying theories with any certainty, I wouldn't want to assume speculation could hit close to the mark. Especially with no ability to observe the one responsible.

[There was? Do tell.]

Indulge my curiosity if you would, however... I assume you've been here a while? Why be so suspicious of the fact that you do not have to pay for anything? I would assume that by now, if a price was forthcoming that had nothing to do with us merely... occupying space, you'd know of it by now.

[Jetfire had, honestly, not thought about it. But then... he didn't need much either. Being a giant robot and all.]

That sounds rather familiar.

[He gave a small grin. As for the purpose of doing this, it was to possibly attract some attention.]

No, actually I've only been here for a few weeks. Perhaps I'm just paranoid because everything in my world had a price, physically and metaphorically.
