[Ever since his small snow war between Kloe and himself, Sandrath was prowling the Keep as a cat. The main reason he remained in this form for now, was to be warm and perhaps snuggle up with a few residents that lived in the barracks.
The black cat could be found on any floor, while avoiding the snow at all cost.]

She's engrossed in the work and humming to herself. Composing another song while the thread weaves through the fabric in pace with it.
Doesn't she just look cozy sitting there?]

There's a small inquiring meow from him. His eyes transfixed on the shiny needle in the firelight.]

That needle that you are staring at so intently gets harmlessly pinned into the seam of the fabric that she is working on and laid to the side away from the cat and not close enough to the fire to catch.
She cautiously extends some fingers for the cat to sniff.]
Hello there. Are you the mouser for our hall?
[The inky cat is getting her full attention.]

To play dumb or aknowledge her question? A tough choice.]

Okay, not really, but it's cooler that way. She didn't actually expect to see him again. And now that there was no longer snow on the floor and she was in dry, warm clothes, she was in a considerably better mood.]
Found you.

Once he arrived, he placed his paws on her leg for a moment before slinking around her with a small purr. Yes, he was amused with seeing her so soon.]

Cat.
[She hadn't been aware she said it aloud, but now that she had she smiled, then crouched in place with her arms wrapping around her knees. She didn't want it to think her a predator, after all. She didn't think cats were considered food, anyway.]
You are called 'cat.'
[She was pleased she had remembered.]
Where did you come from, I wonder?

He continued to walk around her, brushing his head against her before stopping infront of her. The black cat was still purring loudly as he let her touch him.]

You know black cats are supposed to bring bad luck, right? Or are you a witch's familiar?
[She was teasing, of course. Mostly.]

Sandrath was a bit wary, but regardless paid attention at her words. He gave a small yowl at her before stretching.]

I can't tell if that was agreement, or not. Well said, either way.
[Hunkering down, Chloe reached a hand out so the cat might come closer.]
Here, kitty. I won't bite. I promise.

Once he was close enough, he sat down infront of her and stared.]

It was the movement of inky darkness that caught her eye.
That this darkness was in feline shape caused her stop eating and sit up straight, watching it.
The gate was open but the signature that was coming from the cat? Well- she couldn't feel it in the gate. That was no cat. There was sentience there.
That was something else entirely.
Tsia watches it, food forgotten.]
