End of an Era

I went for a walk into Civic this afternoon to get lunch. I wouldn't normally bother on a Tuesday, but I was somewhat concerned after last night noticing newspaper covering the windows of Little Saigon. My fears were confirmed: Little Saigon is no more. they did have some dapper 5 dollar lunch boxes...though tip-top (upstairs opposite oriental kitchen...) aren't that bad...you planning on going to roots manuva still ?
i don't remember singaporean food...if i try to recall though,it seemed like a mashup of chinese and malaysian and more curry like
stuff ?

Really? I loved that place. five dollar lunch boxes or really good noodle soups for cheap and the best iced coffees. noooooooo

Fair enough. Seems like most people I talk to about Regurgitator have the same attitude I've had every other time for the last five years: meh, would've been keen a few years ago. Oh well...

I remember thinking roots manuva looked a bit expensive. I'll see how much money is left after I go to Melbourne.

Shoeb: Yeah, the mashup aspect (done well) is what I liked about food in Singapore, being able to get just about anything from that area. Just seems a bit funny having it all in one restaurant.

Man I hate hearing aout shit like this happening when I'm not around. If the Dickson Asian Noodle House even looks like it's going out of business, let me know so I can make a mercy dash back to 'The Berra'
