So, the record has been broken for the biggest bone-headed end-user mistake here at the office. I just helped field a call where one of our clients decided that replacing an internal IDE tape drive in an antiquated server (that hasn't had a good backup in weeks due to the bad unit) is the sort of thing that you don't have to power the server down

This sounds like something that should be on worse than failure if I've ever heard one. I liked it better when they were the daily WTF though.
