My girl and I were looking at tattoos at a local place and she thought that a vine creeping up the leg looked pretty cool. That gave me an idea: A tentacle, starting at the bottom of the foot and wrapping lovingly up a leg. I like it. This might happen

Give the best available copy of your cheshire cat to someone who knows how to do basic graphic art (pen and ink work), specify what size you want the artwork to be, and ask them to make you a cleaned-up version.

I am really, really liking the tentacle idea, even though I don't think I'll ever get a tattoo. But if I did, and my honey identified as a celalopod, I would so love to have a tentacle creeping up my leg and possibly up under my skirt. :-)

A college-level art student should be able to do the artwork for you for a very reasonable fee. Call your local art college.

Yeah. I've considered redrawing in Gimp, but your idea is definitely a good one. The tattoo artist might have some talent in that area as well. They usually do. I just hope they don't mind my being extremely picky about this.

Edit: Come to think of it, I could probably do this myself. Blow it up, clean it up, and shrink it back down.

Yes, if you think you could, you probably can. Good artists are probably pickier than you are. Depends how much time you want to spend on this.

Be sure to look at samples of your tattoo artist's work before you go under the needle. Live samples.
