get an international phone card. there's tons of minutes on them. you can find them at like, sam's club, cosco, and probably 7-11 or walgreens. perhaps even a currency exchange. but it'll be worth the investment. that's what i did when i went to scotland so i could call my house and my boyfriend of the time.
