OK. So I got to go see the symphony tonight. They played a piece by Carl Ruggles called "Angels" for four muted trumpets and three muted trombones. it was in a very modern dissonant style, and was pure genius. then they did a piece for a small mixed ensemble by Morton Feldman. I forget the name. but Elza was in it. It was utterly gorgeous
