And even when Obi-Wan is being aloof, Anakin recognizes it as something Obi-Wan has always used to protect herself, becuase women on Tatooine often had to use every advantage they could get. In this AU, Anakin often has a rather skewed perspective of the current state of gender relations in the galaxy, but it ends up being quite insightful. (Most of the Jedi don't notice when they're being sexist, for example, becuase they're so much better about it that many of the cultures they encounter that the Order as a whole takes having moral high ground for granted.)

I checked out another one of your stories in this universe, and I was touched by the insights offered especially in regard to Gender issues in the Jedi Temple. Poor Anakin.
