You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you.

What? I needed a quote that made me feel better. It's completely appropriate.

Appropriate? Is someone bothering you?

*sigh* No. *smiles*

Just... reminiscing.

How are you?

I'm okay.

Thinking on the past, are you?

A bit, yes. It never really goes away, does it?

Do you ever feel... trapped? By your past?

Does that logic work on people who...um...aren't exactly your enemies but not really your friends either?

I would think more so, actually. Those people generally hunger for a power they cannot attain and in effect, try and make you feel powerless as well. I've known a few of them in my time, actually.

Well...I mean...it doesn't take much. Throwing me into a wall choking me? Yeah...tha-that's enough to freak me out.

Is it just...a power thing? Or maybe...something else? Cuz it seems that, they got the power and I got none so...I dunno.

Everything is about power. And if you really had none, why would he need to threaten you? Threats come from fear. Those who aren't afraid simply do the things that frightened people threaten to do.

Just remind yourself that if they really had all the power, why would they need to threaten you?

Or time. Something I've had in abundance, you know. *small smile*

How are you?
