Once you get the ball-rolling on the bullshit Hitler comparisons you can't stop it. And the stupid people just keep on keeping on with it till it snowballs into a giant mass of assholes that the GOP can't control.

The momentum is shifting as these assholes get the spotlight.

So you're implying she's going around mocking the supporters of the current healthcare reform proposal with "Hail Hitler" or other Nazi/Hitler comparisons because of the GOP?

I don't think so. People use Hitler comparisons quite often. So much so there is Goodwin's Law.

Both parties have been abusing the comparison for years. And all of a sudden, now, it's out of hand?

This is a "townhall" put together by a wing nut radio guy. Im not implying GOP put her up to it but as this progresses and becomes mainstream along with all the crazy things that become mainstream beliefs within party ranks ( obama birth, death panels, abortion funded in health care according to polls of Republicans) it becomes their problem because they can't control the message.
Bush Hitler comparisons were kept to the fringe. And you never had a single Dem politician pander to that fringe the way people like Palin, Bachman, Grassley eat up the rhetoric and even encourage the crazy shit.
Most of these people can't come up with anything more original than Hitler comparisons and this is why moderates left GOP in droves.

I see what you're saying.

I don't know if the GOP cares to control the message though. Seems like they'll take whatever they can get at this point. Next we'll hear Palin screaming, "We're the minority now!"

I bet she'll eventually become a white, female version of Al Sharpton.
