oh yes! he helped arnold become mr. universe. it's a strange and twisted story. draper, who i think was mr. world (or???) use to work with ah boy way back. david could tell you about the world of steroids, etc.. not to take anything away for A. but what you see is not exactly what you get.
i met A. in 1992 and was amazed how sort he was. i always had a different image. nothing wrong with being short, but it was my image.

I saw Sylvester Stallone at the Lennox Lewis fight. He was really small and weird (plastic surgery) looking. I'd already heard that he was short. I think Arnold is a bit taller.

If he ever becomes president, I'm moving to Canada or better yet, the UK.

I've heard that kind of talk before. No one ever follows through. The expats I used to meet just hated America all the way round.

Why would people just surrender the country to people they don't like? Stay and fight.

By the way, it's unconstitutional for Arnold to be president. Born in Austria. Bizarre, isn't it?

*gets out boxing gloves*

Thanks for the reminder about the Constitution. Did I mention I was a poli sci major? I must have lost my head there for a second.

Poli Sci? I'm sure that explains a lot.

I voted for Gray Davis, but I really am unhappy with him. He's gone to war with his old friends, the teachers' unions. He has no friends.

When I was dating this woman called Kristin we got free tickets to The Nutcracker. Gray Davis and his wife sat behind us. He was only the state controller back then, I think. He's been around forever, just moving up the Democratic ladder. This is an interesting state. We have few Republicans. Gore is our president.

so now he's running in spite of uncle ted's (by marriage) and others advice. wonder if this will affect the marriage?

I've never been married, but I reckon everything affects a marriage.
I guess the Kennedys are finally getting their foot in California. I read once that Ted was going to move out here (he'd roomed with John Tunney in college) until his family put the hammer down and told him he was better off in the Empire. I guess they were right.

I once heard Ted sing, horribly, "¡Ay! Jalisco No Te Rájes," all the way through. It was impressive. I think maybe he was drunk.

when was this?!

It was a few years ago at some informal political function. I was stunned. He really can't sing. He sings exactly as you'd imagine, alas.

So you don't think Arnold could be a good politician? Who are you gonna vote for?

Well, I love the idea of Arnold as governor. I love the idea that a cop's kid from post war Austria can lift weights, win Mr Universe, become a top box-office draw, marry a Kennedy, and become governor of the greatest country on earth. Only here. Think of the bio-movie they can make in a few years. Arnold is one of the great stories of all time.

Now, about his policies, I do not know. I'll listen, but this is a leader-poor country.
