lifted, The dim illuminations which slowly turned off, the daybreak which felt a bit cold.
As I watched over you whine saying “it’s too late”
The familiar long road we purposefully took as we returned home.
After that rigorous exercise, Changmin and Jaejoong walks hand in hand with their sweat drenching their bodies and the morning breath is still fresh. The scented dew scattered on blades of grass, and the sun peeks from between the mountains. Jaejoong complains that his feet are aching and he’s in dire need of a good bath, but Changmin takes the long way back to their home anyway.
Jaejoong stops complaining.
I couldn’t think, for even one moment,
that there would be a time when I would be without you.
But as time flows, it will be as if nothing happened and we wont be able to recollect.
Changmin kisses Jaejoong out of the blue. It’s natural, even for Changmin and Jaejoong laughs lightly, his hands covering part of his mouth in the most beautiful way Changmin has ever seen.
“Can you promise me forever, Jae?” Changmin asks out of the blue and Jaejoong slaps his chest playfully.
“Since when did you become so greasy? Have you learned things from Chun?” Jae laughs again.
But he forgot to promise.
I still… time to time, I remember the time when I first approached you and kissed you…
and I can’t forget, so I find myself traveling the familiar road once more.
If by chance, we meet on this road, will you pause and smile for a second and rush by?
When Changmin kisses Jaejoong on sudden impulse, the older one was genuinely shocked and a bit giddy. Maybe it’s because of all the hormones and the light headed feeling Changmin gets after a morning of exercises with Jae.
Or maybe he’s just in love.
I couldn’t think, for even one moment,
that there would be a time when I would be without you.
But as time flows, it will be as if nothing happened and we wont be able to recollect.
Changmin gets up all flustered and finds that his bed is empty. His throat starts to tighten and he panics for no reason and fumbles out of bed.
“What’s the rush?” A smiling Jaejoong greets him clad in boxers and an apron with a breakfast tray. Changmin embraces the raven haired man and the tray drops with a clatter.
“I dreamt I lost you..Oh god Jae..” Changmin holds on tightly, yet not too tight for he is afraid that Jaejoong might disappear any moment.
“Silly, where would I go? Now I have to make breakfast again. Junsu’s already complaining my tendencies to put you first over everyone else.” Jaejoong hugs back, and comforts his lover.
At my shy confession which I couldn’t say like a man.
You quietly stepped over to me and embraced me. I yearn for you… I want to go back.
“Hyung!~” Changmin cries out and flusters.
Jaejoong spins and as usual smiles like always.
“Here. Happy belated Birthday!” Changmin holds out a little box wrapped neatly and hands it over to Jaejoong.
“Are you sure it’s my belated birthday? That was about 2 weeks ago.” Jaejoong teases the already blushing Changmin who’s trying to keep his voice from squeaking.
“Don’t push it.” Changmin warns.
Jaejoong smiles and quietly hugs Changmin.
“I like you too.”
I believed in eternity, I can’t easily forget about you who made up my life.
But as time flows, as if I’m reading an old diary, I’ll smile for a moment and pass it off…
Will I be able to live again reminiscing, thinking that it was just a momentary fever.
Changmin smiles as he takes the familiar road he used to jog with Jaejoong. How long has it been? 2 years? He greets the morning sky, and glances at Yunho who smiles and squeezes his hand in reassurance.
“You never promised forever, I guess I shouldn’t have expected much huh?” Changmin whispers to himself and a translucent pearl rolls down his cheek.
His phone rings, and like that, memories of what once could have been were blown away by the soft morning breeze.
