Chapter Nine. The One With the Forgetting.

Ha Na could no longer picture Chang Min naked.

Actually, there were a lot of things she couldn’t picture, a lot of things she didn’t remember. She ddin't remember falling. She didn’t remember the plane ride. She didn’t remember Chang Min kissing her. She didn’t remember meeting him or the rest of Dong Bang Shin Ki.

She didn’t remember anything from the past week. There was just nothing. When she woke up, she thought she was still in Japan, waking up in the hotel. Then she saw her surroundings. And it didn’t make much sense.

Na Ra and Ya Nee were sleeping in two chairs near her. “Um,” she said, loud, annoyed, “care to tell me what the hell is going on?”

Na Ra was the first to wake up. “What do you want?” she asked, not lifting her head from her lap.

“What. Is. Going. On?” Ha Na said, more annoyed than ever before.

“You don’t remember?”

“Remember what?” she questioned.

“You fell on your head. At the airport.”

“The airport? We were never at the airport. We just got to Japan a couple days ago.”

“No,” Na Ra said, “we just got back from Japan. Remember? We left right after the Dong Bang Shin Ki concert.”

Ha Na scoffed. “Yeah, like you’d ever go to a Dong Bang Shin Ki concert.”

Na Ra couldn’t help herself and laughed. So she wasn’t the biggest Dong Bang Shin Ki fan. But if Ha Na didn’t believe that she went to their concert, she probably really wouldn’t believe that she was kind of dating Jae Joong.

“I’m gonna go get your doctor,” Na Ra said, getting up before Ha Na had a chance to answer. The past week or so was way too much for Ha Na to have just forgotten. It must be some kind of fluke.

She found Ha Na’s doctor walking around. Na Ra wished that he was like those TV doctors - funny, handsome, great personality. Instead he was bald, short, annoying, and not at all enjoyable to be around. Na Ra was dreading talking to him.

“Kyo Ha Na woke up,” she told him. “And she seems to have forgotten things.”

“Oh,” was all he said. Na Ra rolled eyes and walked off, hoping that he was following. He was.

Now, Ha Na was yelling at someone else. Na Ra wasn’t sure who it was. Ya Nee was still sleeping. The person had sunglasses on and the hood from his jacket up.

“Who’s this?” Na Ra asked Ha Na, giving her a strange look.

“Some guy that says he’s the reason I’m in here.”

Na Ra thought for a moment, confused. Ha Na just fell. There wasn’t anyone that could’ve pushed her off. Then Na Ra remembered. She fell because she was throwing a bag. A bag that just some random person told her to throw because they were too lazy to go get it themselves.

“You!” Na Ra exclaimed! She ran over and jumped on him. She had one arm around his neck and then the other banging on him. She pulled his hood down and messed up his hair.

“Get off me!” he yelled, trying his best to shake her off. “I knew I should’ve brought Ji Yong,” he mumbled to himself.

That caught Na Ra’s attention. She stopped banging on him. “Ji Yong? Not as in G-Dragon Ji Yong, right?”

“If I said yes, would you get off me?”

“Only if it’s true.”

“Well, it is.”

Na Ra got off. She walked over in front of him and looked at him. She reached up and pulled his glasses off. “You!” she exclaimed again and jumped on him - only this time in a hug. She felt like Ha Na with Chang Min - just for a second.

She pulled away and apologized - for the hug and the actually jumping on him.

“So you’re the one that asked Ha Na to throw her bag, huh?” She smiled.

“Is she okay?” Na Ra was surprised by how worried he actually sounded.

“I think everything is fine with her. She just doesn’t seem to remember things from the past week or so. She still thinks we’re in Japan.”

Seung Hyun sighed with relief. “A week isn’t that bad.”

“But lots happened the past week. It’s really too much for her to forget that all.”

Seung Hyun tried not to laugh. He honestly couldn’t understand what a big deal one simple week - one simple vacation week - could be.

“Why?” he asked her once he was in full control of his voice.

“Because,” Na Ra said with a smile, thinking about Ha Na and Chang Min, “she fell in love.”

Seung Hyun stayed around while the doctors explained what happened. He told them that there was a small chance she'd remember everything, but it was very unlikely. He explained that other than that, there was nothing wrong with her and she'd be able to go home the next day.

When the doctor left, Ha Na said something that surprised both Ya Nee and Na Ra:

"I don’t want to know anything about what happened to me the past week." She paused. "I forgot it for a reason and I'm not going to mess around with it."

"But," Na Ra said, thinking of Chang Min, "you need to know."

"I don't," she said simply.

Seung Hyun wanted to tell her to reconsider. Although he wasn’t sure that she could've fallen in love in less than a week, love was not something that should just be left like that.

He smiled and told Na Ra, "Don't worry. If it was love, it'll come back," he told the girl, ready to leave. He was tired and couldn’t wait to get a decent night sleep now that he knew Ha Na was okay.

"I suppose you're right," Na Ra replied with a sigh.

Seung Hyun grabbed onto Na Ra's hand and scribbled his number onto her arm. "I'll pay for the hospital bills," he told her. "Just call me." He then turned to Ya Nee and wrote his number on her arm, just in case Na Ra lost it. "Don't forget to call Young Bae," he instructed the girl.

And then he was gone.
