Chapter Four.

Ok Taec Yeon loved Christmas. It was his favourite holiday. He loved decorating and making everything look just the way he believed it should. But he hated taking the stuff down. Taec Yeon had said one year that he would just leave up all his decorations throughout the year, which was why when I arrived at his house for his birthday, all of his Christmas stuff was still up.

There was a large, blow up Santa in the front yard. I couldn’t help but be afraid that it was going to attack me. I never really liked the idea of Santa. It was a bit weird, wasn’t it, having a fat old man going into your house in the middle of the night?

His door had a reef hanging on the door, which my eyes were glued on as I knocked on the door. My mind had been on the same thing the past two days and I was sick of it. I was trying to use anything I could to get my mind off it.

It was Chan Sung who opened the door. He wrapped me in a warm hug before I could even say hello. I smiled into his chest, happy. The boys were almost so nice to me. I had never had many other friends except the seven boys.

He let me go and led me into the kitchen. All the boys were hungrily eating. There was so many different snacks littered across the table, but it looked as if most of it had already been consumed. I laughed. When they were around, I could never really expect to eat anything myself.

The boys were luckily able to keep my mind occupied. We went outside and played in the snow. Jun Su, Jun Ho, and I made a snowman and did our best to make it look like Nich Khun. Of course, we didn’t do that well. Then we all made snow angels. I went over and drew devil's horns on Taec's, smiling.

He decided that he couldn’t handle that. So he threw a snowball at me, but it missed and hit Woo Young. Woo Young made the biggest snowball he could and threw it at Taec, but also missed and hit Chan Sung. Before Chan Sung could attack him back, both Jun Su and Jun Ho threw snowballs at Chan Sung. By then, no one cared who they hit, everyone was just throwing snow wherever they could manage.

When everyone was finally soaked to the bone, we went back inside. It was warm and Taec Yeon made a big pot of coffee. It was hot and tasted amazing it poured down my throat. I was wet, but with everyone near me, I didn’t feel as cold.

We settled down at watched a movie. It was some movie in English. I did my best not to pay any attention to it. I was so close to falling asleep. I was lying next to Nich Khun and was falling asleep on top of him. He was just too darn comfortable to be awake on.

I woke up almost towards the end of the movie and I was extremely thirsty. I had no idea why I was so thirsty, but it was insane how thirsty I was. I slowly, tired, dragging my feet as I walked, got off the couch and walked over to the kitchen.

I pulled a cup out of the cupboard and got some soda out of the fridge. I wasn’t able to aim and ended up spilling it all over the floor. "Oops," I said dreamily, my eyes unable to keep my eyes properly open. Taec Yeon must have noticed because a second later, in he was in the kitchen with me.

"What did you do, Vannie?" he said with a laugh. "Can't you do anything right?" He smiled down at me and went to go get something to wipe it all up with. I just stood there, too tired to do much else.

He came back and cleaned up everything as I just continued to stand there. I jumped up onto the counter when he needed to clean under me. Standing up, Taec Yeon slipped on a small bit of soda that was still there and landed against the counter, in the space between my open legs.

Awkward.

Very awkward.

To make it even worse, my eyes looked up and saw that there was mistletoe smiling down at as. I felt sick as I looked at Taec Yeon. He easily could have walked away if everyone hadn’t turned over right then and saw us as were standing there.

"Ohhhh," Jun Ho called, grinning, "you two have got to kiss!"

"But," I said, suddenly completely awake, "what about Jay?"

"It's just a kiss," Jun Su said, "and we won't tell Jay."

Everyone began egging us on except Woo Young. I looked over at him, pleading that he would help me get out of this. But he just looked at me, giving me a blank stare. I knew that he thought this was all my fault and as such, my duty to get out of it.

Seconds later, Taec's lips were on mine. It was short and simple and I tried to hide how it made me feel inside. I shoved the feelings as far away as I could.

The boys cheered us on, laughing. Both Taec and I were blushing as it ended and I was sure that I was going to be sick. It only got worse and Nich Khun looked at us and said, "How's that for a birthday gift?"

Everyone left except Taec and I. I had no idea why I had stayed around and let everyone leave before I did. It was stupid to leave me alone with Taec Yeon. I wanted to get out of there before we ended up kissing again. This really wasn’t good.

I was at the door, ready to leave. Taec Yeon and I were making small talk and whatever as he walked me to his car. We kept walking until I hit that door and he asked, "What did Jay send you for Christmas?"

It was then that what I had been thinking about for two days came back to me so easily.

"A plane ticket to go visit him," I said, my voice slightly shaking as I told him. "And it's just a one way."
