did you ever read a heartbreaking work of staggering genius? if you liked it, i say read you shall know our velocity. after that, promptly forget that dave eggers exists because everything he has written since (articles for spin) sucks ASS.

also, catch-22 is an old favorite. i would even argue that it is the perfect book.

if your library doesn't have catch-22, then you're not at the library.

speaking of that, i know you said you have certain books that you read once a year or over and over.... do you look for something when you're reading them again?

i probably read sucky books, but i really liked High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, it was weird reading it after seeing the movie. i have other books but everyone would laugh because i'm stupid.
