I'm really excited that Hincapie is first right now, I hope he can keep it up, he wouldn't be if Thor hadn't had his leg sliced open though... :\

had nothing to do with thor getting his ARM sliced open

hincapie got a time bonus before that happened, he and thor actually finished the stage with the same time.

hincapie got third in an earlier time bonus sprint, which gave him a 2s time bonus, enough to take over first. thor hurt himself in the final sprint... the field is given the same time as long as they are near each other to reduce accidents at the end.
