This semester is really going pretty well for me. I think that this is the first semester in which I actually try to pay close attention in class rather than just doze off or day dream (gosh that sounds awful!) So tonight I went out with Powell for his 21st. I have to admit, I didn't get near as drunk as I anticipated, because Powell got pretty sick after dinner, but I still had a good time. I didn't realize that it has been almost a month since my last post.  This semester has been pretty busy so far, but that is to be expected being in Phi Tau.  The fraternity does most of its main events during the first three weeks of school (retreat, LEGGS, RUSH).  Once this week is over, I should have a little more free time.  Speaking of free ( Read more... )

I'm back in Evansville. The drive home wasn't too bad; we got in around 5pm. We ordered chinese take out and watched Pretty Woman. Today I went with some of the Phi Taus to help move in freshmen. I'm not sure why, but I am in a great mood today for some reason. Today Emily had to work, so I went over to my house after she left and washed some clothes. Mary (who is living with me now) and Mike invited me to go with them to Denny's, so I did. My stepdad is awesome! He's coming down today to fix my car for me so I don't have to pay to get it fixed!!!

I finally quit Lonestar last night; I think that I'm gonna miss working there.

Emily and I are leaving in a couple hours to go to her house; I hope we have a good time together.

My car broke down today. I was driving down Weinbach and at the light where Weinbach and Lincoln intersect my brakes went out. I didn't get in a wreck or anything, so that's good; it could've been worse. I took it to the shop, and they said it'll be fixed by tomorrow for around $70. I think I might try to find another job tomorrow. I like my UE job, but it's only 5.50 an hour, which really isn't much at all. I'm also beginning to feel worn down from working day and night. I wouldn't have to do that if I had a job that paid a decent wage. Often times I make stupid mistakes when working at Lonestar, because I'm pretty tired ( Read more... )
