Wow, that is so sad. There is like only one guy in our school that is gay, or at least that will admit it. He's one of my ex-boyfriends, and another one of my ex's likes to make fun of him all the time. It's awful, I try to stick up for him, but it really doesn't help. People in here are so unacccepting. They pride themselves on being rednecks and it's really stupid.
you don't know me, i was just surfing lj and i came across your journal. and i read this story and i think it was amazing, i'm really glad i came across it.
Goddamn, that reminds me of the town I used to live in. I'm straight but I could NEVER imagine coming out in an Irish Catholic town like that. It sounds horrible but this story makes me appreciate my sexuality. (Don't get me wrong though; I go to my school's GSA and two of my friends are bi and gay, but personally I'm glad neither I nor they have to go through the horrible things Elizabeth did.)
I can never imagine living in an Irish Catholic town. No offense, it just seems to me that 'traditional' catholics have the least tolerance for anything out of the 'norm'.
I could be wrong... and I *hope* I am. :]
P.S. Your friends will have to 'come out' eventually. People will find out...

True. That is one of the saddest stories I've ever read. *sobs* I was brought up in a more 'traditional' family, so yeah, I totally feel her!
Oh wait, what's your name again? Sorry hon, I guess I just have the worst memory in the world... *blushes* *hides her face*
